Week 2 Team Of The Week - ASE FC

Summary of the action from Week 2 of NTU's Bundesliga 5-A-Side

Week 2 of the Bundesliga 5-a-side saw all sixteen team in action for the first time this season. The days action kicked off as Harpin's Boys, who had picked up three points last week without kicking a ball due to E Block's unavailability, played 5 Elite who had also picked up a win in their first game. It was the latter team who kept their impressive 100% record as they swept their way to 10-1 victory.

2.30 pm saw NTU ISOC and CC Cosmos both looking to pick up their first wins of the campaign after draws in Week 1. In a highly competitive match, that set a new standard for the number of goals scored in a game, ISOC came out on the right side of a 8-5 scoreline.

At 3.00 pm E Block made their league debut against staff team Is Your Motherwell, but the staff showed no remorse in picking up their first win of the season by 6 goals to 3.

3.30's game saw the highly impressive Inter d'Nott maintain their 100% record in a 7-2 win against a slightly 'under the weather' The Chaps, whilst the 4.00 kick off allowed CYPS to bounce back from their Week 1 defeat to beat Cheers United by the same scoreline.

4.30 provided the upset of the day as ASE FC put nine unanswered goals past last years runners up LEX FC, whilst 5.00 saw Ay Bird FC pick up their first win of the season 7-3 over Real Sosobad.

The final game of the day saw last year's third placed team Exeter Gently get their season properly up and running as they won 3-1 against a battling Always On Top.

Despite 5 Elite and Inter d'Nott maintaining their 100% records Team Of The Week for Week 2 has to go to ASE FC for their impressive 9-0 win against LEX FC

In Week 3 Always On Top will be looking to get off the mark in the first game of the day, but face a LEX FC side who must surely be looking to bounce back from their mauling at the hands of ASE. ASE themselves meet E Block, whilst old rivalries are renewed as The Chaps play CC Comsos. The next two games feature teams looking to extend their winning runs as NTU ISOC meet Is Your Motherwell and CYPS play Inter d'Nott, whilst 5 Elite will be looking to make the most of any slip ups when they face Cheers United. The final two games of the day sees Real Sosobad looking to get their season kickstarted against Harpins Boys, before the day ends with Exeter Gently playing Ay Bird FC.
