Summary of the action from Week 4 of NTU's Serie B 6-a-side competition

It was an intriguing 4th week of action in Serie B over on Clifton Campus on Friday night, as Where’s Waleed and Bayer Neverloosen stretched their advantage over the league by recording strong victories, whilst there was also wins for Bungle FC, AFC Musters and 50 Shades Of O’Shea.

Bayer Neverloosen were facing off against SixDix in a top of the table clash between 2nd and 3rd, with both sides having won all 3 of their previous games. Bayer asserted their dominance early on and moved into a 3-0 lead with some clever, decisive passing moves which the SixDix couldn’t cope with in the early stages. SixDix managed to claw a goal back but Bayer Neverloosen lived up to their name and saw through the 4-1 victory to keep themselves on track with Where’s Waleed who put on a fine attacking display to break down the College Drive by a score of 5-0.

There was a great first win of the season for 50 Shades Of O’shea, who managed to upset 4th placed Multiple Scoregasms 6-2, which moves O'Shea up to 8th. McCantona remain rooted to the bottom after a tight 3-1 defeat to AFC Musters, but they will be aiming for their first points of the season next week in what should be a tight match with 50 Shades Of O’Shea. Bungle FC picked up the final win of the week 2-1 against NG11 FC.

At the top of the table, next week sees SixDix face off against Where’s Waleed, with Bayer Neverloosen hoping to take full advantage against a resurgent Bungle FC.

Till next week…
