Summary of the action and events from Week 1 of NTU's Inter-Mural League

The Kick-Off of the 2012/13 NTU Inter-Mural League took place against an interesting backdrop, with two games, Table Tennis Society vs Red Stripe Belgrade & Quantity Surville vs East Staines Massive, having to be moved due to Highfields Sports Club due to two pitches being out of action at Victoria Embankment.

The games themselves brought out some interesting results. With reigning champions Mathematic Bilbao having to endure a harrowing bye-week, it was ACS FC and BSOC Bulldogz who produced the best results of the teams who played in the 2011/12, winning their respective matches 2-0 and 3-2. Kings Of Leon Osman produced the biggest win of the day, scoring 8 in their game, whilst Maltings FC won their debut match 3-1. The two games held at Highfields produced goals galore, with Quantity Surville winning 5-2 and Table Tennis Society versus Red Stripe Belgrade producing an entertaining 3-3 draw.

Next week sees the return to action of Mathematic Bilbao & fellow returners BSOC All-Stars, with all pitches scheduled to return to Victoria Embankment
