Summary of the action from Week 4 of NTU's Serie 6-a-side competition

Week 4 of the Serie 6-a-side league saw only four games played due to illness player seeing three fixtures postponed until later in the year. The games that did take place though produced goals a plenty, averaging nearly seven a game.

At 4pm Le Saux Solid Crew and Ale Madrid, both of who were unable to play in Week 3, met on Pitch 2. Le Saux Solid Crew were clearly intent on making up for the three points they were forced to concede in Week 3 due to transport issues, as they racked up an impressive 7-2 against Madrid, who were themselves unfortuante not to make the score line closer than it was at the end of the game.

On Pitch 1 the two table toppers with identical records, H What FC and Tekkerslovakia, played for the right to be the only team remaining with a 100% record in the league. H What took an early lead, but three goals from Tekkerslovakia saw them take control of the middle portion of the game. However a H What goal with five minutes set up a nervy finale, but neither team was able to add to their score.

4.40 pm saw Globo Gym Purple Cobras pick up their first points of the season in a physical encounter over Borussia Teeth. Globo Gym won 5-0 to double their goal tally for the season in one game and show that the improved performance in Week 3 against H What was no fluke.

At 5.20 Ale Mdrid played their second game of the day as they met Is Your Motherwell, who were looking for their third straight win. The game itself was played in a competitive but well-spirited manner throughout, featuring high quality goals and play from both sides, with Is Your Motherwell taking the result 7-1.

Week 4's Team Of The Week award goes to Tekkerslovakia for continuing their winning ways against fellow tabel toppers H What FC.

Week 5 should see all twelve teams back in action. At 4pm H What FC face a team level on point with them for the second week running, this time in the guise of Le Saux Solid Crew, whilst table topping Tekkerslovakia play Borussia Teeth. At 4.40 Globo Gym Purple Cobras will be looking to make up for ground in the table, this time against And The Winners Are... and Schneefers play 2 Goals 1 Cup. At 5.20 Ale Madrid face Ay Bird FC and Barlow's Big Boys look for their first points of the season against Is Your Motherwell?
