Only three games played this week, with Wasteman Elite unable to field a team UCP Marjon 1st were awarded a 3-0 win.

Match 1

Purple Haze – 10 Matt Francome 1, Marc Whaley 1, Jason Trotter 3, James Salter 3, Adam House 2

FC Sampdoria – 2 Dave Palmer 1, Dave Smith 1

Sampdoria take an early lead with a decent finish 1-0. Haze retaliate with persistence via constant pressure, before finally beating the GK from an acute angle to make it 1-1. Excellent interchange from the wing, finished from the angle bottom corner puts Haze 2-1 up. The goals then flood, a top corner finish leaving GK No chance 3-1. Impressive perseverance from Sampdoria who get battered by the GK but score with a scrappy goal 3-2, but after that they could do no more. Individual brilliance, followed by a dink over the GK, followed then by a volley into the bottom corner makes it 5-2. A powerful finish into the far corner furthers the gap 6-2. As the GK comes out Haze delicately chips over the GK for 7-2. With Sampdoria tiring, Haze score another two in quick succession great Futsal 9-2. Haze then continue their dominance until the very end with an impressive top corner finish to end the match 10-2.

Match 2

Just Play – 13 Chris French 3, James Ghillyer 5, Mark Light 5

Totem Timber – 2 Pete McCoy 1, James Harkin 1

Just Play surprisingly dominate from the off, converting a free kick 1-0. Play’s attack is too strong for Totem’s defender, racing past the keeper for 2-0. Chris French misses an absolute sitter, blazing over crossbar, but soon makes up with a decent for three. Great move from the back allows Play to bury into the bottom corner 4-0. They did not stop, and worked well from the wing, setting up an outrageous effort from outside the box, 5-0. Excellent distribution from Play’s Keeper, flicked in with the head made it six. This followed with a superb individual goal, the player taking it round the whole of the defence before delicately finishing 7-0. Totem kept working hard throughout the match and deservedly got a goal 7-1. This obviously lifted them, and another impressive team goal made it 7-2. Just Play go on to score another 5 in the closing 5 minutes to make it 13-2 an excellent display, considering they had no subs.

Match 3

FC Furia Roja – 7 Jose Ruben Romero 2, Adam Rees 1, Mark Wiggins 3, Kyle Klesniks 1

Wrong Direction – 0

Top of the table clash saw Roja brush aside Wrong Direction in this one sided match. First of the game squirms through the Wrong D’s legs! 1-0. A simple corner flicked in near post straight after makes it 2-0. Great discipline and battling by Roja who go 3-0 up with a stunning finish. Wrong Direction’s frustration is visible, as they start to make mistakes. A booking for Direction for a grapple in the box leads to a penalty! Roja missed, but make up with it quickly, stealing a ball from the wing, then using great strength and turn excellent top corner finish 4-0. Roja take advantage of Directions ill-discipline and make it 5-0. Fantastic cross and dummy from Roja, who score again, this time at the back post 6-0. Roja play some great football throughout, and deservedly score a great last minute goal 7-0. Bad day at the office for Wrong Direction, and Roja maintain their top of the league status.
