FA Futsal Fives Week 5

A run down of the fifth week of the FA Futsal Fives league in Plymouth

Match 1

GFS – 10 Tom Stanton 3, Chris Johnson 2, Danny Downes 2, Jack Cantwell 1, Rob Durgut 2
Stampdoria – 1 John Brown 1
Two quick goals set the tone for a great start for GFS who dominate with skilful attacking football 2-0. Stampdoria work hard and score a stunning long range effort for 2-1. Great skill from the wing from GFS, step overs followed by an outrageous bottom corner finish 3-1. GFS score a delicate chip when 1 on 1 with the GK. 4-1 HT Stunning interplay from the GK to ATT 5-1, then quickly 6-1 with a carbon copied goal. Stampdoria tire and weakly concede a 7th 7-1. GFS cross from the wing, find a stunning touch with a quality volleyed finish 8-1. Another great finish, amazing skill 9-1. Red card for Stampdoria following a second yellow for persistent foul play. Throw from GK flicked in by ATT 10-1.

Match 2

Just Play – 11 Gary Maull 1, Danes Ghyleer 6, Mark Light 1, James Grant 2, Chris French 1
Purple Haze – 2 Jason Trotter 1, Jason Smith 1
Hard work from Just Play allows the ball to be scrambled in past the keep 1-0. Stunning finish outside of the box quickly doubles the lead 2-0. Another stunning strike, buried bottom corner makes it 3-0. A corner ball is converted into the top corner 4-0. Mistake by GK, play capitalises making it 5-0. Excellent fast flowing futsal by Just Play results in an emphatic finish, impressive. 6-0. Just Play for the second week running miss an absolute sitter. Haze sneak a well-deserved goal for working so hard before half time 6-1. HT Play come out sloppy and concede to a bright Haze counter attack 6-2. Just play work extremely hard throughout the match and play some impressive bright futsal, out smarting and outwitting the opponents scoring five in the last 6 minutes 11-2

Match 3

Wrong Direction – 12 Ben Beer 2, Patrick Barker 1, Josh Keith 2, Scott Mcan 3, Nick Pain 1, Gavin Seymour 3
Wasteman Elite – 0
Direction quickly score to take a 1-0 lead with a great individual bit of skill, touch and worldly finish. Great futsal leads to a well taken finish from the wing 2-0. Throw from goalkeeper is volleyed straight in by ATT 3-0. Back heel then a chip over GK 4-0. Impressive futsal skills with the whole team touching the ball before a clinical finish 5-0. HT Direction maintain disciplined and work a well worked 6th goal 6-0. Direct from corner, ATT times run well to chip the GK. Long range effort is spilled by the GK, class individual skill scores the re-bound 7-0. Outrageous skills again by the ATT rounds the GK in a one on one situation, calmly finishing 8-0. Constant pressure and no let up ensures Wrong Direction dominate the game and score a further 4 in the space of 10 ten minutes. Excellent Futsal and impressive all round play ensure Direction bounce back confidently from last week's loss.

Match 4

FC Furio Roja – 13 James Cole 1, Francisco Lopez 1, Kyle Klesniks 1, Adam Levi 2, Toby Phillips 1, Adam Rees 3, Santiago Rodriguez 1, Rueben Romero 1, Mark Wiggins 2
Totem – 4 Will Broome 1, Mat Jarman 3
Roja dominate the first 5 minutes with quick attacking futsal and finally make the brake through with a well taken team goal 1-0. Long throw buy the GK followed by a flick in back post 2-0. Roja continue to apply pressure and score on the counter attack with a great team goal 3-0. Corner kick is converted front post 4-0. Totem battle hard score on the counter attack after a lot of pressure, top corner finish 4-1. Long ball diagonally is flicked in back post on the head 5-1.Totem just don't give and score from an acute angle 5-2.Stunning individual brilliance with a volley from the touch line 6-2.Totem get lazy before half time and conceded a weak goal 7-2. Played in from the side, finished back post 7-3.Roja don't hold back and fire up the pitch battling hard for the 8th goal 8-3.Sloppy GK players let Roja pounce on the re-bound 9-3.Throw from the GK drops over the GK head with a deflection 10-3. Red card for Totems GK for foul and abusive language.. Roja capitalise of the man down with a well taken goal when the ATT finds him in a lot of space 11-3. Totem rally as a team and score a well worked clever individual goal. 11-4. Impressive wing play, is finished well with a great timed run 12-4. Outrageous long range effort, top corner 13-4.
