COWLEY CRUSADERS County Cup run came to an end last as they were beaten 5-2 by Deddington in the semi-final.

Despite missing some key players Cowley started the tie by going 2-0 up in the first 10mins with goals from PAUL BOUGH and ANDY PAINE, and seemed to be cruising.
After 20 mins Deddington struck back with a long ball over the top and the defence beaten for pace they pulled the score back to 2-1. A couple of minutes later Deddington struck for a second time in similar circumstances to make the scores level at half time.
Cowley were first out for the second half and for a while the tie was poised to go either way when, with Crusaders pushing for a third LOUIS GEORGE received a second yellow leaving Crusaders with ten men. Deddington took advantage of the extra man quickly to net a third which was put in by a suspiciously looking offside player but Crusaders were far from done, they dug deep and had their chances but with players pushing forward they were left exposed at the back.
Again Deddington played a long ball and a slip up by PAUL BRANDISH in goal for CRUSADERS let the Deddington striker tap into an empty net to make it four, again Crusaders refused to roll over but yet again Deddington made a counter attack with Crusaders pushing to get back into the game and netted the fifth to all but seal themselves a place in the Final.
