(19-Oct-13) vs Milford Pumas Youth United (H) 1-0

I think we call this Saturday “the one that got away..…from them”. As with last week the two teams were very evenly matched again. The fact that the ref blew for full time at least 4 minutes early was the swing to some past roundabouts, maybe. Everybody put a shift in so it is difficult to pick out any individuals for special mention as everyone who played did well.
The move that preceded the goal scored by Max I was brilliant. Maxie took his shot early and that looks to have “surprised” the keeper who went all Massimo Taibi as he ushered the ball into the net. They all count! Well done Noah for the assist and the passing involved was just the sort of thing we are looking for.
After that we had to cope with quite a few of their attacks and we were very solid at the back again. Well done Ollie for the Man of the Match.
The training is obviously paying off and Joe must have been learning to use his back like Kenny Dalglish in training (to get trainer of the week and to use that in the match to turn a few defenders).
Best of luck for this weekend, I’ll be looking for the results in the Irish papers.
