Despite his team ending up 3-1 losers to Laos Athletic in the final of the Mike Laxton Cup, Penge Family Church's Mark Slaughter was named Man-Of-The- Match for his consistent efforts over the 90 minutes.

Mark, described in his manager's cup final programme notes as 'a veteran of the Croydon football curcuit' and 'the most prolific goalscoring holding midfielder ever to be seen' has now gained further recognition for his footballing prowess by being named in his company's 18 man squad for a forthcoming international tournament in France. The team from Groupama UK will be one of 16 taking part from right across the Group including Gan Italia, Groupama UK and various teams from the insurance
company's regional French offices.
