Worcester Blind FC celebrate victory in the Brian Aarons Cup 2010/11

Worcester Blind FC are victorious in the re-scheduled Brian Aarons Cup

Congratulations to Worcester Blind FC who won the recently rescheduled Brian Aarons Cup for season 2010/11.

Worcester topped the group stage of the competition which booked their direct passage into the final.

RNC Academy Bulls played East Midlands in the semi final and in a closely fought game, a goal by Dan English in the second minute was enough to see RNC into the final.

Prior to the final, London & South East played the West Midlands in the fourth place playoff. A first half strike by Darren Harris secured a 1-0 win and fourth place for the West Midlands.

Nothing could separate Worcester and RNC in the final as it finished 0 - 0 after normal time. Worcester held their nerve in a tense penalty shoot out and sneaked it with 2 successful penalties from Owen Bainbridge and Will Norman.

Final Standings
1st Worcester Blind
2nd RNC Academy Bulls
