It is with deep regret to announce the passing of Eric Beedham after a long illness.

Eric’s funeral will take place on the 12th December 2023 at 11:00 at Selby Abbey and Selby Bowling Club afterwards

Eric was great servant to grassroots football at both District and County level and his knowledge of the game was second to none. Eric joined Barkston Ash District FA in 1986 before becoming Secretary in 1992, in 2013 he stepped down as secretary but remained part of the council. Eric was West Riding County FA representative for the district before eventually becoming a Director.

Eric will be sadly missed by all at grassroots football and we would like to pass on our condolences to Eric’s wife Irene and his family and friends.
