Week 7

Springwood remain unbeaten and are top of the Under 12 Division of the South Liverpool Junior League after a narrow 1-0 win over Club Sports with Louis Sherwood getting the winning goals. Litherland Remyca Devils beat Prescot Rangers 4-0 thanks to two goals from Max Duggan and one each from Dan McEvoy and Chris Gillin. Litho beat Litherland Remyca Rebels 12-0 and Woolton Corinthians beat Marshalls 3-1 with the stand out goal being a stunning 25 yard free kick from Matty Graham. Michael Lowther netted the consolation for Marshalls.

Woolton Power are still top of the Under 13 Division after a tight 4-3 win over Kingsley Utd. A Patrick Craig corner saw Power grab the early lead when Kingsley cleared to Daniel Meir, who calmly converted to put Power one up. Another corner saw Daniel Meir get his second. A John Daulby header put Power three up at the break. After the break Patrick Craig converted a penalty before Kingsley pulled three back with Power holding out for the final five minutes. Jorge Dwyer and Joe McNamee netted hat tricks in Runcorn Linnets 9-0 win over Chelwood Athletico. Luke Dimelow, Leon Duckers and Jack Rogers also contributed. Elsewhere the divisions top scorer Xeonon Bahula was on target for Marshalls as they drew 2-2 with local rivals Marshalls Barkhill. Luke Windever netted the other Marshalls goal withKai Bradley Cairns and Ben Sharp scoring for Barkhill.

Three teams are sharing top spot in the Under 14 Division. Runcorn Linnets beat Marshalls Vale 9-0 and unbeaten Marshalls Rosemont (Anthony Dodson, Kieran Flemming, Lucas Garbe and Jospeth Rice) beat Matthiola 4-3. Mac Northstar beat Finn Harps 8-0 thanks to a Dylan Jeffrey hat trick, two each from Harry Cassidy and Liam Kearns Quinn and a James Rossiter Coan strike. Elsewhere Mossley Hill beat Chelwood Westwood 5-1.

Something had to give at the top of the Under 15 Division as Matthiola and Gateacre went into Saturday’s game with 100% records. In a cracker they ended up sharing the spoils with Jordan Lockett, Issacc Sharples, Luke Sutton and Charlie Tannant netting for Matthiola and Cole Fowlis (2), Jacob Cover and Will Quayle netting for Gateacre in a 4-4 draw. Prescot Rangers (two for Josh Surridge and one each for Luke Barton, Caleb Jones and Jake Molyneux) beat Woolton Vikings 5-0. Elsewhere Woolton Sharks beat Chelwood Tarways 4-2 partly thanks to a stand out performance from keeper Joe Maguire. Chelwood took an early lead before a Liam Anderson chip saw Sharks equalise. They went into the break ahead as a late corner from Sam Cole found Elliot Gibson who duly headed home. Joe Maguire pulled off a number of important saves before Nathan Christopher netted Vikings third. Chelwood responded again before Liam Anderson fired home his second.

In the Under 16 Division Tricorn Hotel are top after their 7-0 win over Kingsthorne Jaguars. Geneva (two from Luke Fenney) beat FC Start 2-0 and the Rosemont derby saw Rosemont Athletic (Max Barnett and Sean McGurk) beat Rosemont 2-1.
