The programme across the 3 divisions in the Everards Leicestershire Senior League was reduced anyway this weekend because of League Cup action, but the effects of Storm Babeth reduced it still further. Thurnby Rangers against Ellistown was called off in the Premier Division, as was Anstey Town's top-of-the-table clash against Hinckley LR Reserves and Birstall United Reserves against Leicester Atletico in Division One.

Ellistown used a little bit of initiative and re-arranged a Premier Division game at home to Friar Lane & Epworth after FLAE had their cup tie at Magna 73 called off, switching the game to the 3G pitch at the South Charnwood in Markfield. FLAE however caught Ellistown cold, with Ryan Rowley scoring a breakaway goal after 27 minutes to put the visitors in front. Ellistown threw all they could, but ran out of steam, and Eduardo de Oliveira made it two midway through the second period to seal the points, Friar Lane winning 2-0.

In the other Premier Division game, Barrow Town's drainage delivered the goods at the Riverside Park, and they managed to get their game on at home to AFC North Kilworth, which paid off, as goals from Tramaine Byron and Niall Stafford gave them a 3-1 win, Taylor Sharpe replying for NK. That win lifted Barrow out of the relegation zone for the first time this season, with FC Khalsa slipping into the bottom two.

Meanwhile, in the solitary Div1 game to go ahead, Kirby Muxloe Reserves missed out on the chance to move into the top two after losing 6-3 at Holwell Sports Reserves, Kirby collapsing as they conceded five goals in the last 25 minutes, having been all square at the turnround. Tallen Burt scored a hat-trick for the hosts, Boyd Wilkinson, Harry Worby and sub Cailin Nolan with the other goals, Joe Kerins (2) and Luke Barratt with the Kirby goals, Holwell taking a big stride away from the drop zone in Div1.

There was only one Div2 game scheduled, and despite its reputation as being one of the dampest pitches in the area, and lying close to the Soar Valley flood plain, Mountsorrel Amateurs managed to get their game on at home to Sileby Town Reserves and played out an entertaining 3-3 draw. Jensen Kenny had scored a brace in the first half, but Sileby came back, and despite sub Zak Ginvert scoring for Mountsorrel late on, strikes from Adam Bowley, Connor Stevens and Leon Watson gave Sileby a share of the points, enough to take Sileby off the foot of the table, trading places on goal difference with Loughborough FC, whilst Mountsorrel's automatic promotion hopes took a hit, now 3 points off the top two having played a game more than second-placed St Patricks
