Tron faced an uphill task against a quality Bournemouth side, Football for Cancer FC, in the semi-finals of the Hampshire Sunday Senior Cup on Sunday, writes Tony Spencer. The visitors were probably the best footballing side that Tron had ever faced, with their three forwards outstanding. Tron found themselves two down after ten minutes, but two strikes from Ross Cook evened up the scoreline to 2-2 by the interval.

Just after the break, however, the visitors converted a penalty 2-3 and proceeded to stun Tron with three quick goals to take the score to 2-6 and effectively finish off the game. Cook managed to complete his hat-trick at 3-6 but, with Tron putting everything into attack to reduce the deficit, Football for Cancer hit the hosts on the counter attack with two late goals to finish off Tron's county campaign 3-8.

Bramley United entertained a strong side from Gosport, Bridgemary Eagles, in the Hampshire Sunday Junior A Cup semi-finals. Bramley United took the lead through Les Wood on 15 minutes after Simon Goff's corner and Ramsey Lewis' shot on target was parried into Wood's path. Shortly after that, Darren McWilliam passed to Adam Bartlett, who across goal to score off the far post to take a 2-0 lead into half-time. The second half was a closer contest and with 20 minutes to go Bridgemary Eagles pulled a goal back to 2-1. However, 10 minutes later Tim Barnett passed to Jamie Ward who worked the ball up the right wing to Ramsey Lewis, who held up the ball well before knocking to Darren McWilliams in the centre to make it 3-1. Bramley worked hard to keep Eagles out in the last 5 minutes of pressure.

Bramley United will play Portsmouth side Freehouse in the final after they beat Portsmouth Royals 3-2. Freehouse have lost just twice in 21 matches this season.

Overton United narrowly lost out 1-2 to Barway FC in the Hampshire Sunday Junior B Cup semi-finals.
