CALLING ALL PARENTS / CARERS OF OUR PLAYERS AND REFEREES: THIS IS AN OPEN INVITATION TO ATTEND A USEFUL EVENT BEING RUN BY THE LEAGUE

The league is having it's first 'In Service Day' (in accordance with it's Charter Standard Development Plan) on Saturday 18th February 2017, from 10:30am - 2.00pm at Barrow Cricket Club, Abbey Road (Next to Furness General Hospital).

This event is for all Adults associated with Youth Football in the area. This includes Club Officials, Volunteers and Parents/Carers who are all welcome to attend.

Club secretaries have been emailed all of the details and we would like to request that anybody who wishes to attend please contact their club secretary so that the league can be provided with anticipated numbers.

We have key note speakers from the Lancashire FA attending to deliver workshops on:

The role of Adults in Youth Football in Furness (Neil Yates)
Referee development and recruitment with Q&A (Sam Yates)
The National Game Strategy and Development Plan for Youths. (John Treacy)

The league will also be presenting its own exciting plans for the future growth of our sport in this borough.
We acknowledge and LOVE the fact that so many people in Furness are so passionate about our game. We will be holding a Q&A session too, so that parents' voices, opinions and ideas can be heard, shared and discussed.
The event will be informative, empowering and insightful. This is the league's way of reaching out to those dedicated souls who stand on the side lines at "early o' clock" on a Saturday morning in ALL weathers (let’s face it - usually wind and rain!!) and to include these great people in the leagues progress and future development.

The event is completely free and refreshments will be available (some at a small optional charge).
More details to follow regarding the venue, very soon. To support this event, the league has stipulated that no organised fixtures should take place on this day and we would hope that we have a cross reference of attendees from all clubs and age groups.
