The Yeovil & District Football League has suspended all football in line with the advice of Government and the Football Association

In line with the suspension of grassroots football by the Football Association the Yeovil League has suspended all football within the adult and youth leagues with immediate effect in the interests of players, coaches, referees, volunteers and supporters.

We will continually monitor the advice of the Government and FA and provide updates on the continuation of the season in the coming weeks. It is our intention to re-schedule and complete as many competitions as possible if the situation improves, and if we are given the opportunity will extend the season until the end of May. We emphasise that the current situation is a suspension of the season and not a cancellation. The Officers of the League intend to discuss the latest advice on April 15th by which time there should be more realistic information about the perceived length of this suspension or if we are then at a point where there is no chance of a continuation.

The health and safety of all individuals within our League is our priority. The overall situation as the Country battles the complex issues regarding COVID-19 is challenging to everyone but we urge you all to follow the advice given and hope that you and your loved ones stay healthy. Football at times like these is insignificant to the importance of life.
