Linton stun Bell

LINTON 2 - 1 THE BELL
A fantastic brace from substitute P. Lettejallow gave Linton victory, and turned the form book on its head in the Ward Cup Final.
The game exploded into life from the first whistle with The Bell strikers having two good early chances. Linton seemed to need something to kick start them and it came in the guise of a Bell goal. Sixteen minutes in, the ever lively Jay Wilkes lobbed the keeper from all of 30 yards.
Just the incentive Linton needed from then they started to build momentum and finished the first half much the stronger.
The second half was pretty much a procession on Linton chances and with them pushing forward the Bell tried to play the counter attacking game. As the game wore on the Linton management were becoming more and more frustrated with chances being missed. With less than 10 mins to go Lettejallow capitalised on a goal keeping error to level the tie. Linton had their tails up, and put The Bell under increasing pressure. A swift move of one touch passing saw The Bell defence carved open and Lettejallow made it 2 -1.
With seconds left on the clock The Bell's Scott Evans was through on Linton's goal, but Keeper Gary Souter pulled off a fantastic save.
This win will eradicate the heartache of last year's final defeat
