Beckton Spoil Bell Party

Donnay took the First Division title having finished their season and without kicking a ball.
It was all about the Bell, but Beckton Gas turned out to be the party poopers on a wet sunday morning.
The Bell went into this game knowing a win by one goal would give them the title. in a race that they had been out in front for most of the season. The Bell took the lead and were in control for the first half hour. A mis placed defensive header and a smart finish drew Gas level. It was level at the half with both sides having chances to take the lead.
The Second half started with Beckton soaking up Bell pressure. Then a fine solo goal saw Beckton take the lead. Now all the pressure was on the Bell. Within 6 mins the Bell were level Tyler Lawrence heading in.
From then on The Bell piled on the pressure creating chances but few that were clear cut. Beckton Gas happy to soak up the pressure and hit Bell on the break. Scott Evans hit the post. Dave Appanah had a goal chalked off. The Bell just couldn't find that winning goal. Beckton could have snatch a late winner with a couple of good chances.
The game ended a 2 all draw , however Donnay United were todays winners
