NORTH END VETS 1 FDSFL O35 REPS 5
Farnham and District Reps took a strong 15 man squad down to play North End Veterans FC on Tue 23 rd August at Havant and Waterloville FC stadium. The hosts are the reigning Portsmouth Veterans League Champions so we anticipated a tough encounter. Some excellent football was played and despite a great 1st half save from debutante keeper Chris Williams (AfC Farnham) we went in 1-0 down at half time. A tremendous fight back in the second half saw goals from Dave Drinkwater (Woking Vets), Darren Wheeler (Godalming Vets) and a hattrick from Phill Miller (Hambledon Vets) to give us a hard earned 5 – 1 victory. Players from 10 different FDSFL Teams were put forward by their Clubs for this fixture, well done to all and many thanks to our hosts for a great game.

FDSFL Reps 5 Havant and Waterlooville Legends 3
This eagerly anticipated fixture featured players from Ropley, Farnham, Hambledon, Sandrock, Woking, Tadley Calleva, Holybourne, Milford & Witley and Bourne Blades. As expected they were given a tough game by a strong Havant and Waterlooville Legends line up featuring ex-Arsenal star and UEFA Cup winner Ian Selly playing alongside a host of ex-Conference League Players. Things looked ominous to start with when the legends monopolised possession for the first 10 minutes before the Reps managed to touch the ball.
The Reps soon got in to their stride and went 1 nil up with a goal from Shaun Lyndon (Milford). Selly then showed his class and levelled the score with an audacious chip from 40 yards giving keeper Robbo (Holybourne) no chance. The Reps came back and snatched a 2-1 lead before the break with a goal from Neil Evan (Hambledon). Some enthralling football in the 2nd half saw the scores level at 3-3 with 10 minutes to go before goals from Ropley duo Andy Radcliff and Dan Layton sealed another victory for the FDSFL Rep squad.
Many thanks to Havant & Waterlooville FC for bringing a strong 18 man squad, we look forward to the return encounter in the near future.

Havant & Waterlooville Legends: Neal Spaulding (GK), Chris Ferret, Gary MacDonald, Aaron Cook, Simon Barnard, Brian Wood MC, Mat Jones, Craig Anstey, Ian Selly, Dean Blake, Darren Robson, Dave Town, Matt Pattison, Duncan Leahy & William Martin

FDSL REPS 4 GOSPORT BOROUGH VETS 3
Playing a very competitive Gosport side the Reps found themselves 2 goals down in the first 15 minutes before settling down to play some great football. Goals followed from Ross Harwood and Stuart Cook before Adam Gatcum rifled in a third from 40 yards (as taught by his father supposedly) to give the Reps a 3-2 advantage at half time. Gosport weren't finished yet and levelled the scores with a goal 15 minutes in to the second half. With both sides probing Grant Young got the winner for the Reps 10 mins from full time.
Bourne Blades under 12s were mascots and ball boys for this game with Tonni Ricci their manager only showing them how not to tackle, picking up a yellow card in the process.
