Ideal win North London Trophy

Pre-season victory in Enfield

IDEAL continued their pre-season preparation by clinching the North London Tournament Cup held in Enfield on Sunday 22 August 2004. This triumph follows a win over Division one side Romstar in a pre-season friendly played at Elmbridge park on Sunday 15 August 2004.

The N.London Tournament was formatted into a mini-league tournament involving four teams, with the team on top walking away with the Cup and a cheque of £400.00.

IDEAL won their first game 1-0 against hosts and fierce arch-rivals Zim-Saints. Player/Coach Anthony Sibanda scored the only goal of the game.

Newcomers Stevenage F.C., led by Mike Mudyiwa, where the next victims of IDEAL. They were thrashed 6-0 by a rampant IDEAL. Goalkeeper Moses Motsi was also amongst the goal scorers.

The tournament was won by IDEAL after a 2-2 draw with Slough based Mangoma F.C. Goal difference separated both teams mattered after they finished level on points.
