City to face PSG in Portland
City's women's team will kick-off preparations for the 2018/19 campaign with a friendly against Paris Saint-Germain in Portland on 24 July.
The two sides will lock horns at Merlo Field at Clive Charles Soccer Complex at the University of Portland, ahead of the inaugural Women's International Champions Cup tournament in Miami.
French Cup Champions PSG boast a fine pedigree, having also reached the Champions League finals in 2015 and 2017. Their star players include midfielders Grace Geyoro and Jennifer Hermoso and striker Marie-Antoinette Katoto.
The clash, which kicks off at 7pm, will see City striker Nadia Nadim return to her former hunting ground. The forward joined City from the Portland Thorns in January 2018, helping the American side to the NWSL Shield by finishing the season as top goalscorer.
The two sides will then travel to Miami's Hard Rock Stadium for the WICC games on 26 and 29 July. City face European Champions Lyon on matchday one, while PSG will encounter the North Carolina Courage.
The victors play in the final on 29 July, before a third-place play-off will also take place the same day at 6pm.
Tickets for the game in Portland start at just $10 and can be purchased at the following link.
